Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 30, 2026
1. What we collect
We collect only the information needed to run the app and give you useful skincare guidance:
- Skin profile: your skin type, concerns, budget tier, and answers from the onboarding quiz.
- Selfies and analysis photos: images you upload or capture for skin analysis. They are stored in a private, user-scoped storage bucket and are only visible to you when you are signed in.
- Routine data: your AM/PM routine items and daily check-ins, used to show adherence and streaks.
- Progress entries: AI-generated analysis scores, observations, recommended products, and any notes from each scan.
- Account information: your Google account identity (email, name, profile picture) used for sign-in.
- Usage analytics: basic events such as upload selection, analysis start, and analysis completion to help us understand feature usage and improve performance.
2. How we use your information
We use your information only to deliver the features you use:
- Send your selfie to our AI analysis service to generate a personalized AM/PM skincare routine based on your skin profile.
- Store your analysis results, scores, and routine history so you can compare scans over time.
- Track your routine check-ins and streaks in the dashboard.
- Keep you signed in securely across sessions.
- Measure basic usage so we can fix bugs and improve the app.
We do not use your photos to train AI models, and we do not sell or rent your personal data.
3. How we store and protect your photos
Your selfies are stored in a private, user-scoped storage bucket managed by the Lovable Cloud backend. They are protected by row-level security so that only your authenticated session can read them. Signed URLs are generated only when you view your own history, and no other user can access your photos.
We use your photos only to generate your analysis and to show them in your history. They are not shared with other users, used for advertising, or sold to third parties.
You can delete individual analyses (and their photos) from the History section, or request full account deletion to remove all your data.
4. Who processes your data and why
SkinSnap relies on a small number of trusted service providers to run the app. Each provider receives only the data needed for its specific job. We do not sell your data, and none of these providers use your data for their own advertising.
- Google Sign-In — receives your login request and shares your name, email address, and profile picture with us so you can create an account. We do not store a password. Google Privacy Policy
- Lovable Cloud — hosts the app, manages authentication, stores your profile/photos/routine data, and runs our server functions. Lovable Cloud handles this data on our behalf under security and privacy controls. Lovable Privacy Policy
- Lovable AI Gateway — receives the selfie you upload and the skin profile/concerns you provide so it can generate your personalized analysis, routine, and product recommendations. Underlying AI models do not retain your photo or use it to train models. Lovable Security
- Stripe — receives your payment information when you subscribe to a paid plan. Stripe handles card details, billing, and subscription status directly; we do not store your card number. Stripe Privacy Policy
5. Cookies and analytics
SkinSnap uses only the cookies and tokens needed to keep you signed in and to protect your account. We collect basic usage analytics (for example, when an upload starts or finishes) to understand feature usage and fix issues. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising or sell your data.
6. Data retention and deletion
We keep your account data, photos, and routine history for as long as your account is active so you can view your history and progress. You can delete individual analyses and routine entries at any time in the app. Deleting an analysis also removes its associated photo from storage.
If you delete your account, we remove your profile, routine data, progress entries, and photos in accordance with Lovable Cloud’s deletion processes. Some system logs may be retained for a short period for security and troubleshooting.
7. Your privacy choices
You can:
- Delete individual scans and photos in the History section.
- Update your skin profile or routine items in the app.
- Request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account by emailing privacy@myskinsnap.com.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the app evolves. The “last updated” date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised. Continued use of SkinSnap after changes means you accept the updated policy.
